North Carolina Esports Academy

Caleb Smith grew up in Durham, North Carolina. After graduating high school he headed to Germany and played competitive soccer for a few years. Upon his return to the states he founded North Carolina Esports Academy, a hands on esports and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education company. Caleb led the company to receiving the 2022 Cary Chamber of Commerce Innovation in Business Award while also becoming a 2022 Triangle Business Journal 40 under 40 winner and a 2023 Forbes 30 under 30 winner for the education category. Caleb created EdTech Unite to be able to service and provide opportunities to youth regardless of their current circumstances.

Narkie Nartey is the Founder of The Wakaboomee Program 501(c)3 A STEAM, Wellness & Entrepreneurship Non-Profit, VP of Marketing of the GDBCC, President of RTP Rotary Club, Member of the Town of Morrisville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Advisory Committee, and Mentor for GTI/SKEEMA Mentorship Program at NCSU. Narkie has a fiery passion for helping others, connecting community Leaders, managing various social media platforms and working strategically to create real change by closing the digital divide in underserved communities.

I’m an experienced senior executive with 24 years of experience and a track record of successfully building and leading high-performing global software teams. I am skilled in SaaS, Enterprise Software, Cloud Computing, and Agile Methodologies. I have led the development of numerous products from idea to market, scaling systems from 0 to 75 million active users resulting in multi million-dollar businesses. I’ve led several successful acquisitions; some of the notable ones are in the field of Workflow Automation, Digital Signature, and Data Collaboration. I’m also on the board of an organization focused on and invested in cultivating talent across the industry. At Lenovo, I’m responsible for setting and delivering the vision for the cloud platform and solutions for our customers and partners.

Charvel pursed a careers in education and administration during her early college degree. Charvel went back to school after relocation to NC and persued digital marketing at Wake Tech Community college. Charvel has spent the last 5 years helping small business have a online presence with her company Sumpter Virtual Solutions. Charvel currently serves as the Marketing and Communications Chair for the NC Collaborative we’re she has pursed her passion of community and marketing.

Alex Huckabee

Introducing Alex Huckabee, a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in the world of technology. Alex’s career spans from small tech startups to large Fortune 50 tech giants, leaving a significant mark on various organizations. 
 
Currently serving as an Account Executive at Spectrum Enterprise, Alex’s role is vital in navigating the complex landscape of business technology solutions. As a trusted advisor to Spectrum’s Enterprise level clients, Alex takes on the responsibility of understanding their unique needs and crafting tailored networking and cybersecurity solutions that leverage Spectrum’s cutting-edge products and services. 
 
Educationally, Alex holds an MBA in Business Analytics from Ohio University and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he was not only a dedicated NSBE member but also captained the baseball team. In addition, Alex has earned a multitude of certifications, including Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Google Ads, 8×8 Sales Training, Cisco Meraki Sales Training, Python, and AWS Generative AI certification. With a rich and diverse background, Alex Huckabee is a true leader in the tech and sales industry, poised to inspire and make a lasting impact.
